Upgrade Your HOA Community with High-Quality Patio Grills

5 minute read | Grills

Homeowners associations (HOAs) are crucial in maintaining and enhancing communal living spaces. One way to improve these areas is by installing patio grills. These outdoor grills can transform parks, community centers, pool areas, and more into vibrant social hubs for residents. For HOA board members and decision makers, selecting the right grill involves considering various factors such as fuel source, material, size, and optional accessories. This guide will help you navigate these choices to find the perfect grill for your community.

Understanding the Needs of Your Community

Every HOA is unique, with different communal areas that could benefit from the installation of patio grills. Whether it’s a neighborhood filled with single-family homes or a condo complex, having dedicated grilling spaces can enhance the community experience. Parks, community centers, poolside areas, and designated grill zones are ideal for these installations. Providing residents access to high-quality grills encourages outdoor activities, social gatherings, and a stronger sense of community.

Choosing the Right Fuel Source For Your Patio Grills

The fuel source is the first consideration when selecting a patio grill for your HOA. We offer three fuel options: natural gas, propane, and electric. All three options are cost effective to operate and share a variety of grill mounting options. Patio grills can not use more than one fuel source. We currently have one model of electric grill, with all our other grills having both a natural gas and propane version for each model.

Natural Gas Grills

  • Pros: Constant fuel supply, no need to replace tanks.
  • Cons: Fixed location; requires connection to a natural gas line. Some properties have no access to natural gas utility, eliminating it as a potential option.
  • Details: Natural gas grills are ideal for properties with existing natural gas infrastructure. They provide a reliable and powerful cooking experience but cannot be moved once installed.

Propane Grills

  • Pros: Portable, easy to reposition or store when not in use. Can be used in locations without existing natural gas or electric infrastructure.
  • Cons: Requires periodic tank replacements.
  • Details: Propane grills use a self-contained propane tank, making them versatile and mobile. They are perfect for areas without easy access to natural gas or electricity or for properties that need a portable grill (to save space when not in use or to use for infrequent gatherings).

Electric Grills

  • Pros: Compliant with some building ordinances like; requirements for appliances to be all electric or restrictions on other fuel sources. They are easy to use.
  • Cons: Requires a NEMA 6-30 power receptacle.
  • Details: Our electric patio grills are gaining popularity due to new regulations favoring electric appliances. They are convenient and environmentally friendly, and although an electrician is needed to install a NEMA 6-30 power receptacle, the NEMA 6-30 power cord is needed to deliver the energy (240v) needed to compete with their traditional counterparts.

Material and Size Considerations

Choosing the right material and size for your grill is essential for durability and aesthetics. We offer grills (the lid and basin) built with stainless steel or cast aluminum, although we use stainless steel for important internal components in all of our grills, like the grates and burners.

Stainless Steel Grills

  • Benefits: Corrosion-resistant, durable, sleek appearance.
  • Sizes Available: Four sizes, including one electric model and three with natural gas and propane models.
  • Details: These grills are robust and suitable for high-traffic areas, offering a premium look and long-lasting performance.

Cast Aluminum Grills

  • Benefits: Cost-effective, corrosion-resistant, and durable.
  • Sizes Available: Two sizes, available for natural gas and propane only.
  • Details: These grills are smaller and more budget-friendly than our stainless steel models, providing a practical option without compromising on quality. They work especially well for HOAs that need more than one grill in their grill areas.

Optional Grill Accessories

Enhance your grilling setup with various grill accessories that add convenience and functionality. All our T-Series grills come standard with essential accessories for neighborhoods filled with single-family homes and run by HOAs, such as:

  • 60-minute automatic gas-flow shutoff grill timers: Rest easy knowing if anyone ever accidentally leaves a grill running, wasting fuel and causing a potential safety hazard, it will be shutoff automatically.
  • Laser-etched control panels: Low-quality department store grills will often use printed controls that will inevitably fade. We go the extra mile and use lasers to permanently carve our grill’s instruction into their panels.
  • Anti-theft control knobs: Prevent mischievous kids from removing grill control knobs just to be a nuisance.
  • Robust quality guarantee: Our clients mean everything to us, that’s why all our grills have a worthy parts guarantee to ensure customer satisfaction.

Consider additional accessories to improve your grilling experience further:

  • Lift Assist Handle (S27T, S36T, S4T, E27T): This handle allows anyone, even if they are in a wheelchair, to open and close the grill lid without reaching over the grill itself.
  • Infrared Rotisserie Burner: Allow your residents to step up their cooking with an infrared rotisserie spit.
  • Emergency gas shutoff button (ESTOP): Some ordinances might require an emergency fuel shutoff button.
  • Additional stainless steel side shelves
  • Stainless Steel Doors (for custom island installations)
  • Grill Vents (for custom island installations)
  • Trash Receptacles (for custom island installations)
  • Stainless Steel Beverage Center: Give your residents a cool place to store their drinks while grilling and enjoying your outdoor areas.
  • Outdoor sink: We offer outdoor sinks with running water if you’d like to complete your outdoor kitchen.

These grill accessories allow you to customize your grill setup to meet your community's needs.

Installing patio grills in communal areas can significantly enhance the living experience for residents within your HOA. By choosing the right fuel source, material, size, and accessories, you can create a welcoming environment for residents to enjoy picnics, parties, BBQs, and more. This investment adds value to your properties and fosters a sense of community and satisfaction among homeowners. Make the smart choice today and see the positive impact on your HOA.
